I've always liked dirt. It stains your clothes, gets under your fingernails, and reminds you that you're part of the landscape rather than just passing through it. These paintings grew from time spent painting en plein air on Yuwaalaraay Country and the Country of the Paakantji, Ngyiampaa and Mutthi Mutthi peoples, in the vast landscapes of Lightning Ridge and Mungo National Park...
